The Bridge™ For Guests
Include your mental health practitioner in your psilocybin retreat experience.
A Bridge Between Psilocybin Therapy and Back Home
Perhaps you have been engaged in therapy for months or even years. If you decide to attend a MycoMeditations retreat, including your therapist in the pre-retreat preparation and post-retreat integration goes a long way in optimizing your outcomes.
The Bridge allows guests that are seeing a psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, coach, or mental health professional to be involved in their psilocybin retreat experience at MycoMeditations.
If you have a close, trusted relationship with one of these professionals and are considering joining MycoMeditations, then the Bridge can help you make the most of your experience.
This integration between our retreat and your mental health support system ensures a seamless transition between your ongoing therapy at home and your psilocybin retreat in Jamaica. It will greatly enhance your psychedelic integration support by connecting your retreat experience with the therapeutic work you’re already doing.
The Bridge is a Bidirectional Case Transfer (BCT), a two-way communication channel between us and your primary provider. MycoMeditations offers you this innovative program as first psychedelic therapy company to offer BCTs to provide you with the most therapeutic psychedelic experiences in the world
Taking Your Psychedelic Retreat a Step Further
In addition to MycoMeditations’ world-class team of licensed therapists and experienced facilitators, we aim to continue supporting our guests in ways that no other psychedelic retreat provides.
With the Bridge, your therapist becomes directly involved in your psilocybin therapy process, before and after your retreat. This program will help you arrive on retreat even better prepared, allow our team to gain a richer and deeper understanding of you, and for the therapeutic insights and breakthroughs you experience to be more meaningfully integrated once you return home.
With your providers aligned, you receive continued care that translates into meaningful momentum through all phases of your psychedelic retreat journey.
Why Include Your Therapist in Your Psilocybin Therapy?
Psychedelic therapy catalyzes deeply personal material and can reveal aspects of your psyche not typically available to you and your therapist through traditional talk therapy. Your therapist is a tremendous resource to assist you in this process given their awareness of your history and how you make sense of yourself and the world.
By involving them in your retreat journey, they can both help you prepare, and assist us by providing all the necessary information about you, enabling us to deliver the best care possible
Following your retreat, we will provide your therapist with an overview of your experience, which will help them guide your continued integration process as smoothly as possible. This will allow you to take even greater advantage of the benefits you receive on retreat.

Who Is The Bridge For?
The Bridge is for individuals who work with a mental health professional whom they deeply trust and are exploring psilocybin to deepen their understanding and healing of themselves.
If you are ready to work with psychological material deeply and honestly with psilocybin and seek additional support to promote your ongoing therapy after the retreat, then we encourage you to join the program.
Seamless Integration with Your Therapist
Guests frequently tell us that MycoMeditations was precisely what they were looking for in pursuing psychedelic therapy: Real mental health professionals with no gimmicks who know how to work with psilocybin and how to work with normal people.
Our retreat model was designed to align with contemporary, evidence-based approaches to therapy. This accommodating and collaborative BCT framework ensures that our team will be in sync with you and your provider through the entire process, allowing you to feel most confident and safe knowing follow-up care is in place.
Common Questions
What is your history as a retreat?
MycoMeditations is one of the first psychedelic retreats, having hosted our first retreat in 2014. Our experience in working with psilocybin in a therapeutic manner is considered the gold-standard in this field for therapy-intensive psychedelic retreats. Additionally, the majority of our facilitation teams are comprised of licensed mental health therapists.
As both the longest-serving psilocybin retreat and the most mental-health-optimized model, we are extending our capacity for therapeutic depth even further with the Bridge. We strive to be the most therapeutic psychedelic experience in the world, and connecting your work at home with the work you do on retreat will give you best outcomes possible.
Will this retreat actually be effective for me?
Clinical research continues to back the power of psilocybin in a therapeutic context. Our years of guest outcome surveys show that we aren’t just matching those clinical benchmarks, we’re often exceeding them. We are unique as one of few psychedelic retreats committed to rigorous tracking, with data that proves the genuine efficacy of our retreat program.
You can trust that our psilocybin retreat gives you the best chances for significant and sustained therapeutic outcomes if you are considering a psychedelic retreat.
How does integration therapy after psilocybin work with my practitioner?
Should they agree to join your retreat journey through the Bridge, your practitioner will receive an in-depth clinical summary of what transpired for you during your retreat experience with us, along with an extensive report from our therapy team about therapeutic interventions and approaches taken by MycoMeditations to best support you.
By learning these key details, your practitioner will be best suited to support your integration process through their continued care with you.
Will my therapist understand how to provide mental health support for my psilocybin retreat?
If your therapist is open to this and supportive of you joining us, then they are likely familiar with psilocybin therapy themselves. Luckily, regular therapeutic support and the support needed after a psilocybin retreat are not too dissimilar, particularly when you share and open and trusting relationship with your therapist.
The main difference is that you will have new, important material to discuss and work with following the retreat, as psilocybin will shift things within you quite drastically.
The clinical summary that we provide to your therapist will assist them in how to best work with you for integration therapy after psilocybin.
In addition, you will still be included in all our integration offerings, both the sessions unique to your retreat group and our bi-weekly Alumni integration sessions.
Do I have to already be in therapy to join this program?
You may also join the Bridge if you are working with a coach, as we can provide the same clinical summary to them to better enable that sort of work as well.
However, it is a requirement that you are working with someone in a professional, therapeutic manner, and have been doing so for an extended period of time with that particular practitioner.
Why involve my therapist in my psilocybin retreat experience at all?
There are two ways that involving your therapist can benefit you:
1) Your therapist has the most complete understanding of you, your history, and your challenges. To serve you best, our team will also need to learn this about you. the Bridge allows our therapy team to receive in-depth insights about you directly from your therapist or other mental health practitioner. This will help us to provide you with the best care possible.
2) Psilocybin therapy is an intensive therapeutic approach and it will provide you with new perspectives on everything you have worked on with your therapist up to now. It is inevitable that you will have to factor in your retreat experience in your future sessions. The Bridge serves to help you and your therapist, psychologist, coach, or more achieve deeper, more meaningful work following your retreat.
Share the Bridge with Your Therapist
We created a program overview of the Bridge for your therapist. Feel free to download and share it with them to discuss whether MycoMeditations could be the right next step for your work together. If you both feel aligned, we invite you to apply and join the Bridge.
We’ll be here to support you both through your whole retreat and long after it ends.
